Contact Council: Harm Reduction Saves Lives

Overdose prevention sites save lives every day in Vancouver, and current resources do not meet the growing demand. In recent months, the need for harm reduction services has dramatically increased in the Granville St. and West End communities.

In the context of COVID-19, the poisoned-drug crisis continues to claim more and more of our neighbours' lives. Each person is a tragic loss and represents our society's failure to respond to an increasingly deadly crisis.

Please contact City Council and ask them to support a permanent indoor facility to serve these communities in need.

Tell them to take decisive action on Tuesday, October 13, by voting to approve a new life-saving facility at Helmcken St. and Seymour St. to deliver critical services.

*Update* Council delayed making a decision on a new overdose prevention site serving Granville St. and West End communities until October 20.
